• WHY
    • I am a technical discontent with the notion that ”Complacency will be the downfall of mankind”.
    • I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the current state of informational technology and the state of software design.
    • However, information tech is the key to long term survival of the species.
    • Thus I need a platform for reference and rants in hope of advancing the state of information tech.
  • Expected Content
    • Reviews: WordPress plugins, web tech, frameworks, apps.
    • Guides: web tech strategies, coding guides.
    • Assets: code and graphics (I am not a real designer but I play one on the Intertubes).
  • Content Format
    • Mostly bulleted negatives.
    • No personal attacks except maybe highly compensated CEOs, VPs, or anyone in upper management that should know better.
    • No adult profanity.
  • Disclaimer
    • I am NOT normal. I am a bug magnet. ALL programs crash on me.
    • Registration pages can take me hours to complete.
    • I have a sense of basics that is different from everyone else.
    • I complain that a typical computer desktop workstation requires min of 7 electrical outlets: Computer case, Monitor, Speakers, Printer, Modem, Desk lamp, phone.
    • Do not listen to me. I represent less than 1% of your customer/listener base. It is just good business sense to assume your customers are complacent.
  • More Me
    • I like spherical chickens.
    • My last technical class dealt with quantum mechanics, not polymorphism. I have more books with the word “Physics” than “Programming” in the title.
    • My code is different.
      • I use more horz white space and less vertical white space.
      • I name variables and methods differently such: UserPK,UserNAME,UserID,UserPW.
      • I don’t like to use multiple names for the same thing.
      • I add extra code with descriptive names instead of extra comments.
    • Some accomplishments
      • Created a blogging framework in 1999. I got distracted.
      • Coded timed audio tests for company applicants to take over the web at 2400 baud modem speeds.
      • Created a duel-window movie player that played movies side-by-side for educational purposes. The GUIs were synced between each window and each included slow fast-forward,-reverse.
      • Program to graph response spectrum of complex optical filters.
      • Built New Mexico’s 3rd most popular BBS providing multiplayer Doom and Descent.
      • Built my first computer in 1974. No hard drive, no RAM, no debounce switches, and no integrated circuits what so ever.
    • I believe in KISS and Think It Through Stupid.
